LUKE’s Bio:

Qualifications:

  • Luke has been dancing and teaching dance since 1999. He has taught Hip Hop at various dance studios in Cape Town and started teaching as an independent contractor for Virgin Active and Planet Fitness since 2010. In 2013, Luke started FitQuest which has expanded to being an all-round offering of Personal Training, Group Fitness sessions and Nutrition packages for all interested FitQuest members. Luke has also been involved as a master trainer for fitness education and has been involved in educating other fitness professionals over the years. He is also continuously writing programs in which he trains and educates the FitQuest Training Team, and the team is constantly being upskilled in teaching and training and fitness education on a monthly basis.

    What Makes Luke different? He takes a holistic approach to training his clients and groups, and he truly cares about his members. He is a brilliant teacher who strives to get the very best out of each and every client.

MICHELLE's Bio:

Qualifications:

  • Michelle has been a regular gym goer since 2003. She joined FitQuest as a member in 2013 and started training with Luke as Personal Training client, where she has literally undergone a massive physical transformation. Her fitness journey with FitQuest inspired her to become involved as Luke’s assistant trainer and she then decided to start studying fitness in order to achieve a national qualification in Personal Training. Michelle has since become a full time member of the FitQuest Training Team and she now teaches some of the group sessions.

    What makes Michelle different: She is walking proof of what good fitness coaching and nutrition advice can achieve as it has radically changed her life and her physical appearance and her goal is to see that same transformation in others.

LAYNE’s Bio:

Qualifications:
National Diploma: Sports Fitness
National Certificate: Sports Massage

  • Layne has been involved in sports from a very young age, but his true talent is athletics. He also started dancing from a very early age and has run a small dance group as a junior teacher since 2008. He has been a competitive athlete since 2000, specialising in the 110m hurdles. His athletics career has seen him achieve provincial colours, National Colours and he has competed abroad in World Championships. Layne joined FitQuest in his final year of studying Sport Fitness as an assistant Group Exercise Instructor at the start of 2014 and he qualified as an Exercise Specialist at the end of 2014. Layne is now teaching Group Exercise classes for FitQuest and he also offers Sports Massage to any of our interested FitQuest clients.

    What makes Layne different: He believes in focused and controlled basic training to get his members fit and strong. His mission is to continue learning and improving as a trainer and make fitness his full time career.
