When starting this program I knew that this was all about the long game, not the short sprint. Having said this, after only 2 months I’m feeling more confident and more comfortable in my own skin, not only on a physical level, but also mentally. The latter has been the most important aspect, since I have always had a terribly unhealthy relationship with food. Feeling good starts from your mindset, which is the first place that Luke and I began our journey. He has been the best mentor and advisor that I could ever have hoped for. Together we were able to change my outlook on fitness, health and sustainable living, which has left me feeling like a stronger, healthier person all round.
Training with Luke has really changed my outlook on fitness and, most importantly, my body. With Luke you don’t just work out, you train & you learn every session…you learn about your body and what it’s capable of, about exercises and how to execute them with the correct technique and how to use food to fuel your body to perform at its best. Luke is knowledgeable and stays up to date with what’s current in the fitness industry and incorporates what he learns to better his client’s training programmes. If you are determined to make a lifestyle change, Luke will be committed and focused in assisting you achieve your goals.
I asked Luke to focus on building my upper body strength, taking into account my “lop-sidedness”. Luke said “Cool, but let’s just do the rest of your body too”. I thought my legs were strong from trail running, but soon came to appreciate there is a fit strong and a muscular strong. I love our morning workouts, I have improved in leaps and bounds with technique. I am no longer lop-sided and my legs are strong. What really is remarkable is my new toned body
I am living proof that a brilliant trainer who understands fitness and nutrition can help you change your life. On my fitness journey with Luke, I lost 13kg’s, gained muscle definition and lean muscle mass. I gained energy, confidence, got a new lust for life and I will never look back. I also love being part of the FitQuest classes and watching how exercise and training helps so many people change so much in their lives, including stress, weight management, improved sleep, improved health in general and I also love seeing the friendships and relationships built between the class members. Knowing that you are all in it together is fantastic.
I have been with Fitquest for about 6 months now and have, and still am, enjoying every minute of it. There are a variety of classes to choose from and each class is never the same but they are all great fun! Physically I am feeling much better and find that I have a lot more energy. A bonus is that one can be assessed monthly to see the effect and how one is improving. Over and above this Fitquest have run a social responsibility programme too, selecting and supporting deserving causes, which means a lot to me as well.

Since changing to Lindi and Luke’s Fitquest gym classes, I have found a big improvement in my personal fitness levels, the classes are well structured and enjoyable and suitable for all levels of fitness. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
